Unfinished Sentences is encouraging US citizens to contact governmental representatives in order to encourage them to declassify documents related to El Salvador’s civil war. The US has already released some documents in regard to El Salvador’s civil war, as well as the conflicts in Argentina, Brazil, and Chile.
However, with new opportunities for transitional justice in El Salvador, additional releases of US documents related to that country’s civil war will help the people of El Salvador to demand justice from their government. What information do we have pertaining to the disappearances of upwards of 10,000 Salvadorans?
